The investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case on mass riots after an unsanctioned rally in Moscow, held on July 27 in protest against the rejection of independent candidates for elections. According to her, the investigation is conducted in three parts of article 212 of the criminal code — organization of mass riots, participation in them and appeals to them.

A criminal case on the riots were initiated on the basis of materials of check of Prosecutor’s office.
